Cliffs Of Dover

Image
This has been one of the best Preparation Days ever. We went to the Cliffs of Dover  which is one of the most beautiful beaches and sites to be. You could see Spain across the channel of the ocean. But this week was great. We had exchanges with 2 companionships. We had interviews with the mission president on Wednesday and lots of great trainings.    We went to a District Council and we were having a hard time finding in Deal, but while we were walking there was this business owner in his shoe shop and I waved across the road, and he waved back. I thought about just continuing walking but my body jerked around before my mind could stop me  and I went to the shop and waved for my companion to come and join. We ended up having a great conversation about the restoration and about him and his job. He was really interested and we reffered him to the sisters. That was fun. We went to Aylesbury for a baptism for someone, named Prince I was able to teach a lot last transfer....

Peppa Pig, 11 Elders, 100mph Winds.

This week has been a blast! We enjoyed some finding during District Blitzes, spent some time on the streets (I love finding here in Gillingham because there's 3 good high streets to visit and talk to people), and celebrated my companion, Elder Bowen's 20th birthday!    We had a meeting planned for Friday with District leaders and got permission to have multiple Elders with us in the Welling flat to make rides and travel easier, but a storm was coming with dangerous winds and were told late that night that the meeting was canceled and we should stay indoors the next day. So we stayed and celebrated Elder Bowen's birthday with a Peppa Pig cake and cooped up and out of the weather. It was a ton of fun and I wouldn't have wanted to be cooped up in a flat any other way. There were a ton of trees knocked over, the waves in the river Thames were huge, and rubbish was all over the roads because of the crazy wind.    We had a baptism in Selsdon we got to attend as well and it...

From Here To There, To Literally Everywhere.

I've been all over the place as soon as I took a seat in the car with my new companion, Elder Bowen. We've stayed nights at almost every District Leader's flat to be at their District Councils and help give rides. I'm learning the ropes of my new area in Gillingham, which has a beautiful view of the River Medway that goes right into the ocean, so there's boats going up and down. It's a much better view.  We've seen some miracles and been having lots of fun. I got as close as could to swimming by standing next to the ocean. The coasts of England are just beautiful! I've been seeing a lot of the Lord's hand in helping us and our friends.   1 Nephi 15: 8 And I said unto them: Have ye inquired of the Lord?   Simple scripture, but perfect for finding what we need. I know this has helped a lot lately for me!

Goodbye's Are Hard!

My time has finally come. I am getting transferred. I will no longer be in my home-away-from-home—that is: Aylesbury. I had the feeling it was my time and I really took it in and reflected a lot this week about what has happened since I've been here from the start of my mission. It has been a great area and I've met and built relationships with so many great people.    Elder Greindl is going to train a new missionary, and I will become a Zone Leader (someone that is responsible for a lot of other missionaries and districts within a large area of the mission) somewhere in the mission. That's also exciting, but a little nerve wracking. Can't wait for what lies ahead though!!   This week was good, and we had a lot of fun sending it the best we could. We had 3 new people come to church which was super exciting, and we had some exchanges where we filmed a Reel on Instagram (follow ccberry29 if you want to see it) and did some street finding using a big portrait of Jesus.
