Wizard Talk

This week was great! We had some exchanges with Ashford and 6'5" Elder Watson and I hit the streets and taught some super cool lessons to 2 of our friends.      We also had Stake Conference, where all the local wards came and joined us at the Gillingham Stake Center (our chapel) to hear from some amazing speakers. One of them being Elder Thomas Hënni of the Seventy. Our Stake President spoke to the youth and gave a talk mentioning 10 Harry Potter quotes that were sprinkled throughout. It was a game and really got everyone to listen. The Temple President and his wife spoke, as well as our mission president and his wife. One of our friends came with his son to church as well and they LOVED it.     I also got to be the cameraman for the conference broadcast as well. That was fun- zooming in and out and in and out.     We went bowling today for P-day with the Maidstone Elders. That was super fun. Another little thing about England is their bowling balls ha...

Family Reunions

So this week we had interviews with the mission President and filled it with some training and good fun. We got to train on solidifying friends and setting expectations; something that we personally have been working on a lot and we have seen many blessings.      It's always funny gathering up as a zone because I see my trainer, Elder Hansen and his new train-ee, Elder Stewart. We got some good Family portraits done. (A trainer is typically refered to as a "father" and a train-ee, a "son")     We had some of our good friends come to church this Sunday and they loved it. We also got to present our Ward Mission Plan which seemed to go over really well!      Today was our Zone P-day and we all met up at the Maidstone chapel for some ball and games. Super fun.      I learned a lot this week about meekness and wanted to share a great scripture on it! Moroni 8:26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and bec...

Ticking Around The Clock

This week was awesome! We had 5 people come to church and we taught a lesson to all of them after church. We also had exchanges with the APs in London.     In London we did challenges where we had to try and trade ties with someone, ask to be greeter for a café, getting someone to let us try their shoe on, etc... One of the big challenges was to street preach in front of Big Ben. That was fun.  It was a competition between teams though, and our team lost. Because we lost, we had to eat Scotch Bonnets. Those are some really HOT peppers. I was shaking like crazy.     We also had exchanges with Maidstone, and that was a lot of fun as well.     This week was grind and we have a greater amount of people we are teaching  that we are excited about.      God is GOOD!      "Coming unto Christ means more than just thinking about Him or talking about Him or even loving Him. It means following Him. It means living the way He teac...

Expect The Unexpected

Crazy week!      My companion and I had a last minute transfer change. Tuesday night I found out I'm staying in Gillingham and Elder Benware was leaving to go to the office. I'm now companions with Elder Colemere! He's so cool. We have been in the same zone before so I know him quite well. We have been having a ton of fun together.     Wednesday was Mission Leadership Conference, which was really good and kind of different.      We went to District Councils the rest of the week in the mornings.      When we aren't at meetings we are having a ton of fun teaching and finding in our area. We had a lot of lessons, but managed to have some cool miracles of finding people along the way. One of our friends, Lee, came to church and really enjoyed it. He says he plans to come from now on and is interested in joining.      Cold showers are still going good.     Hope everyone has a great week!     Alma 37: 35...
