3 Apostles And A Brother!

This week has been AMAZING. Honestly full excitement for the conference I mentioned last week. It happened and it was better than I could have imagined!   Let's start with the beginning of the week though..    Tuesday and Wednesday were fun days because we had a good time doing some street finding and there were lots of good conversations with lots of different people. We are hoping to begin lessons with some of them soon! We ran into someone we used to teach named Salvatore both days and will have a lesson with him again this week!   Thursday was district council and we had some really good trainings and discussions. We made effective plans and gathered advice for each of our areas (little did I know that would be the last of this District...)   Back to the conference! Friday all missionaries were asked to travel by train and tube. I know I've been in England for over 3 months, but I've been spoiled and only been in a car. That was a struggle, but it wasn't as ...

We Got To Go To The Temple!

Image
Hello Everyone! This week has been fantastic! We have been on the grind of teaching friends and doing the work to gather Israel; meaning we got to go to the London temple! It was beautiful and such a fantastic experience! We were able to attend with some new members and it was such a joy to see the peace and happiness they felt. For those who don't know, the temple is a place where members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints go to feel closer to God, and partake in sacred and wonderful ordinances that we believe brings more joy and blessings into out lives.    We had some exchanges with the Stevenage Elders earlier in the week and gave out a lot of copies of the Book of Mormon.    We had a District Council as well and it's been such an experience to lead and council together on our areas and what we can do better. Definitely a big learning curve for me, but I'm starting to really enjoy my duties and the trust God has in me.    That's all I re...

Luton Legends!

Hey everyone! This week has been super fast. We had a lot of lessons this week and they all went really well!    One of our friends who should be getting baptized in 3 weeks time came to church with us again in Luton, named Kayode. He is a super funny, energetic, and relatable person and every discussion has been a joy!   We had Zone Conference as well, where my companion, Elder Windsor, won the Lunch-time basketball free-throw challenge. That was awesome!    After zone conference I found out my District would be doubling in size because of some emergency transfer changes, so that's been fun to get used to.  Big districts are the best though.  It's kinda back to how it used to be my last transfer so I already know most of the missionaries really well.    We had exchanges this weekend with the zone leaders and hung out with them a ton on Saturday, which was great as always.    Sorry for the short email! Take care everyone.

Big-Time Changes!

This transfer was full of surprises. Elder Hansen and I had a pretty normal 2 days at the beginning of the week, teaching and whatnot, but we recieved news that Elder Hansen would be leaving and going to be a Zone Leader in London and I would be staying and becoming a District Leader and trainer this transfer.    So Thursday we headed into London and went to the transfer devotional. It was super good and I was there all day pretty much because trainers received new missionaries last. Said goodbye to my "father" (Elder Hansen because he trained me) and said Hello to Elder Windsor!! He, like all of my past companions, is much taller than me and a big baller! He's super cool and is from Utah (also similar to all of my other companions lol). But it's super fun and interesting to watch someone re-live the newness of England that I experienced just a couple of months ago.    This week has been a stressful week of adjusting to responsibility and transfer changes. We've e...

Finishing Strong!

Hiya Everyone!      This past week has been the last week of my second transfer. It has been amazing!  We have been working hard to leave our area in a good place for the transfer coming up.      We have invited a lot of friends and people to watch General Conference, which if you don't know, is a biannual conference where everyone in the world has the chance to listen to the words of our religious leaders and beloved prophet, Russell M. Nelson, share inspiring words and council that can help us receive answers and direction for our lives. I loved it!!! One of my favorite talks was by Ulisses S. Soares that talked a lot about how we can learn to have and show compassion through the Savior. (I will add the link to General Conference at the bottom if you would like to watch some :)     We went on 2 exchanges this week as well with the Zone Leaders and Stevenage Elders. Those were super beneficial and fun. I learned so much more about leadership...
