Finishing Strong!

Hiya Everyone!

This past week has been the last week of my second transfer. It has been amazing!

We have been working hard to leave our area in a good place for the transfer coming up.

We have invited a lot of friends and people to watch General Conference, which if you don't know, is a biannual conference where everyone in the world has the chance to listen to the words of our religious leaders and beloved prophet, Russell M. Nelson, share inspiring words and council that can help us receive answers and direction for our lives. I loved it!!! One of my favorite talks was by Ulisses S. Soares that talked a lot about how we can learn to have and show compassion through the Savior. (I will add the link to General Conference at the bottom if you would like to watch some :)

We went on 2 exchanges this week as well with the Zone Leaders and Stevenage Elders. Those were super beneficial and fun. I learned so much more about leadership and I'm taking notes for one day I might be in that position on my mission.

FUN STORY: Elder Hansen and I were getting ready for bed on Friday and our Carbon Monoxide detector went off. After learning about the danger of it before my mission, we got a little frightened. We reset it and put warm clothes on to head out of the flat for safety, and it went off again so we really thought for sure there was a carbon monoxide problem. Long story short, we ended up calling the fire dept, they came and checked it out and determined our detector was faulty because the levels of carbon monoxide were too low. But they were glad we called and said we did the right thing. Better to be safe than sorry!

The weekend was just filled with general conference sessions and snacks. Tomorrow we get transfer calls and find out if we will move to other areas or positions.

Today, for P-day, we got permission and went and played some basketball with a bunch of Elders in London at the Hyde Park Chapel. After that we went and played ultimate frisbee with the zone leaders and sister training leaders. I'm nervous about possible changes this week! But that comes with a lot of excitement too!! Have a great week everyone.
