5-Guys

Image
Elder Ohms, just before we go to bed: "Hey, Elder, I'll buy you 5 Guys if you eat a raw egg." Me: "Okay, bet." Cracks an egg into a mug and swallows. Elder Ohms: "No way... did you actually just???" Me (mouth filled with soapy flavor): "Honestly, I taste dish soap from not rinsing the mug off enough more than I taste any egg. So, when am I getting 5 Guys?" At this very moment, I'm at 5 Guys now. This week has been great! We have been working with some of the new members who haven't come for a while, and now two of them have started coming back to church. The ward has been super happy to see them. We had a chair football activity and had a good turnout. We played hard, and as a result, we were exhausted the rest of the day but pushed through. Totally worth it. Still sore, but worth it. General Conference is coming up this weekend, where we hear the Prophet, Apostles, and Leaders of the Church share inspiring messages centered on Jesus ...

Things are going well. Our friend Sean is now preparing to be baptized, who is sound in the gospel. Smartest 10-year-old I know! We have been on the grind, just talking to people on the streets for most of the day. I have walked to most parts of the area now. In these matters, Heavenly Father expects us to use our agency, study the situation out in ...

Been a good time the past two weeks. We had interviews with the mission president, and we were asked to give a training on adjusting to missionary life, so we made it fun by creating a Kahoot. There were other missionaries who also did a training and made a Kahoot of it. That was the most Kahoots I've done at interviews; it was quite funny.  We also had Zone Conference, and it was super insightful. There was a comparison made between doing things out of fear and doing things out of faith, and the pros and cons. When we are in "swing" (perfect unison), we have more control and power. We are teaching some cool people at the moment, and the work is always good in this area. Hope everyone else is having a great week.
