Out Of Quarantine!

Image
This week has been crazy. I am finally out of quarantine as of Wednesday and have been busy to the max since then! I'm now in Leighton Buzzard in the Aylesbury area.    I met my companion trainer (which helps new missionaries adjust to the field) and have been working hard to share the gospel since being with him. He's been so helpful and Elder Hansen deserves such a big shoutout    Adjusting to the hard working missionary lifestyle has been the most difficult challenge for me, but God has been helping me through this process more than I could have ever asked for.    Often, we are on the streets talking to people and inviting them to hear our message. We also have been reaching out to a lot of people over social media.    There's been a lot of miracles and people God has placed in our path. We've taught a few really good lessons and have had a lot of opportunities; one of which, is where I had the privilege to get in contact with a man named Kiera...

Cheers!

Cheers everyone! I honestly am still kind of at a loss of words for what I've experienced here in London. My preparation day will from now on be on Monday.   Firstly: I did soooo much traveling on Wednesday. The England missionaries all left the Provo MTC and we went to a bus stop, rode a bus to a train station, then a train station to another train, then that train took us to another bus, which FINALLY took us to the airport. We flew from Salt Lake City to Chicago, then to London. The flight was so long, but so good in many ways. We didn't make it to London until 6am on Thursday morning.   On the flight, two of the missionaries got to hand out a Book of Mormon to interested people. Me and my companion were actually able to talk to a girl in front of us, who was traveling with a member of our church and she was really interested. We taught her the whole first lesson us missionaries typically will teach, as well as parts of the next lesson. It helped answer a lot of questi...

MTC Update #3

No way I only have 4 days left! This week has been great! To start things off, Saturday, some of the sisters said they wanted food. So a few of the Elders, including me, said we would meet outside of their dorm to bring some. We loaded a suitcase with everything we had from our stash (my companion had a TON of food) and proceeded to drag it to a table in front of their dorms. We stood around it like FBI agents and waited for them to come. It was HILARIOUS and the sister missionaries and passerbys loved it.   That night the MTC presidency allowed us to view the Stadium of Fire fireworks show from one of the training buildings. We didn't go to bed until midnight, but it was awesome and a really cool experience. The following Sunday we had the "Go and Do" Experience, which was an opportunity to ponder, pray, study, and search for truths to questions we have for 2 hours straight. It was wonderful and I got some great new insights on how to apply The Atonem...

MTC Update #2

Image
Hey everyone! I've been at the In-Person MTC now for 3 days and I can't get my jaw off the floor! This place is incredible! Uniting with my companion and District was the biggest highlight by far. I love them so much and I'm so grateful for each and every one of them.      So let's quickly run through some thoughts from the week:     Wednesday, Caden and I packed up and went to the airport. Saying "see you later" to our parents was hard, but the Lord eased our minds. It was truly a blessing Caden and I had each other's backs when we left to check in through those doors. Our tickets were supposed to be paid for and provided by the church to get to Utah, but I ran into an issue; apparently my seat had been reserved but not confirmed and paid for. So I had to call Church Travel and get that worked out. It only took a few minutes thank goodness. They also changed our seating without our knowledge from Economy to Comfort Plus and even put us next to each other ...
