A Taste Of Utah
Another good week in England. Honestly hasn't been too crazy, but I stay busy. We had a lot of service this week and stopped by several returning members to see how they were doing.
We helped some members move some furniture and boxes out of a truck into their house and one of our friends with cleaning their front garden that had lots of weeds. We got to have a member there to help and taught her about CPR (a missionary classic) which stands for Church, Prayer, and Reading the Scriptures.
Our amazing friend Frank wasn't feeling so well because he got his 2nd Covid vaccine so we plan to have a baptism this upcoming Sunday if everything works out and goes according to plan!
We have been doing daily challenges within the zone to have some fun while we go about our day. I'll attach photos and videos from that.
We had District Council Saturday, which was really good and Elder Goss shared some great insights on the subject of Hope. Made me think about how having your glass "half full" rather than "half empty" is always better because your outlook on life will be much more enjoyable and positive. God can't do miracles unless we have Hope. Faith ties into Hope so much as well.
"Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God."
-Ether 12:4
Hope gives us purpose!
Me and Elder Goss then went on an exchange for a few hours, gave a copy of the Book of Mormon to a nice lady that asked for one, and then visited a lady that she told us we should see. It's the best when your friends refer MORE friends!
We went to the Luton Church yesterday because we haven't visited there in a while and I got to bear my testimony and introduce myself to the ward. There really weren't that many people there, but a lot were on zoom which is good.
We then had a Dinner Appointment with some members in our hometown and they fed us a recipe that you would find in a Cafe Rio back in Utah: sweet pork and tortillas! Sooo good. I ate so much I'm pretty sure I couldn't touch my knees if I tried.
For P-day today we went and played football in St Albans. Had a blast! There was a cool Cathedral as well.
Have a great week everyone.
