Never Tired

This week was a good one!

We had interviews with the mission president on Monday in London and got to have some great trainings with our zone. We barely made it on time though because traffic is always SO bad here in England. I love it here, but traffic is the worst. Definitely something that might keep me from living here ever again in the far future. Always expect that you will get there 30mins to an hour later than it should take. Super annoying.

Anyways the next day we did lots of street finding, and went to a dinner appointment with Tony from the Aylesbury ward again. That was good, until we left and noticed our tire pressure was super low. We went to an air pump to fill it up, but soon realized it had a nail in it. All credit goes to my dad for teaching me how to change for a spare, and we got up and rollin pretty fast. We got the bad tire fixed first thing in the morning and got it back on the car.

Friday and Saturday we had some service projects. One was in an allotment garden. This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in England. So there's like little plots of land broken up within a giant piece of land where people can rent a space to have a garden since it is so crammed in England. For the one we went to, it only costs £7.50 a year to have a little plot of land to garden. We helped this guy clean out behind his shed, which everyone has on there plots of land for tools, equipment, or to have a "mancave". There are so many different types of fruits and vegetables that all of the people were growing. We got to walk through and just observe everyone's amazing hard work. The other service we did was to help a family in Dunstable put some slabs for walking down in their back garden as well as remove some from the front.

Saturday we also had a District council and afterward we went on a blitz (everyone goes street finding in the area to help find more interested people for the missionaries who cover it). We were challenged to find someone with a dog and take a photo with them. It made it fun. Sunday we went to church, and taught our friend Steven about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. He loved it and we are excited to continue meeting with him. That night we went to a Young Single Adult church devotional in Watford to be with some of our friends who planned on coming.

Great week and to start off this one we had another amazing day of District Football today.

Spiritual thought: Ether 12:4

"Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God"

This scripture is just so powerful and made me think about how God should always be our anchor, which means we need to exercise our faith in him daily; whether it be service, kindness, prayer, study, attending church, etc. Love this!

Have a good one!
