Pa Pa Paa!
This week was good! We had a lot of lessons and spent a lot of time outside talking to people. Of course it was Thanksgiving week as well and luckily at Zone Conference, which was on Thursday, we had a traditional American Thanksgiving meal. It was SO good. In fact, I would say it was Pa Pa Paa, which in Twi means "delicious" , or "best of the best". I learned that after we had some more fantastic Jollof rice with our friend, Frank.
We've started teaching a few new people which has been fun! One is a 16 y/o boy who saw our tags and wanted to learn more. Another is a 23 y/o who is super curious about the Book of Mormon. It's been fun to have a week filled with more teaching. We've also been fed more lately, which has been super nice because our relationship with the wards is improving.
Zone Conference was awesome and I learned so much. We talked a lot about the temple and we are preparing for a mission temple trip to celebrate Christmas. I'm super excited, but we have had to take some extra precautions recently because a lot of missionaries are catching COVID.
This week flew by and we had a lot of lessons which is really good. We actually put one more friend on date for baptism too, which is really exciting and we are looking forward to continue to help him grow his relationship in Christ. Pray for Clinton!
Have a great week everyone!
This is a quote I liked from Richard G. Scott:
“Help from the Lord always follows eternal law. The better you understand that law, the easier it is to receive His helpage …"
I love this because it helped me realize that we must try to always understand the laws and commandments, the blessings, and reasons for them. It's always best to follow the Lord's will and to accept it, then to not because we believe we know better. Sometimes bad things happen, but they are what give us the chance to grow us and shape us into the potential and kind of person God sees we can become. Something I've recently learned and adopted into what I believe and say is that God doesn't really look at who we are, but he looks at who we can become.
