Arundel Hoopers

That would be the name of our basketball team if we went pro.

This week was a blast! We kicked off with some exchanges. Tuesday, Elder Servoss and I had a great time in Brighton and we just went from one thing to the next: had a lesson, then went tracting with a member, then another lesson, then back to the flat for a meeting, then out on the street, then we got dinner, then we... you get the point. It was super fun.

Wednesday we went to Eastbourne for a District Council and for the first time in what feels like forever there was a thunderstorm, to which we all went outside and tried to have a blitz (group street finding) before it started to rain. Well the storm rolled in quickly and by the time we got back to the chapel for lunch my trousers were a completely different color and my socks were soaked. Nonetheless it was so nice to be in a storm.

We had another DC on Friday in Crawley and got to find more people in the rain (a lot less intense then Wednesday). That evening was our scripture study which was super good. Afterwards, Elder Hancock and I practiced a song with our ward pianist and we are going to sing in church next Sunday... wish me luck.

Saturday we decided to try out "basketball finding". It worked really well! We played 4 v 4 at the court on the seafront and there were a ton of people there that stopped and watched. Our friend, Tad, even came to play with us. After the game (which we won) quite a few people started talking to us and gave us an opportunity to share more about what we do. A couple of them wanna start coming to our game nights which is cool.

Sunday 2 of our friends came to church and loved it! We ended the day going to visit some members. There was one of them who had this weird drum with tuned notes that I have never played, but I had a fun time figuring it out and played some.

Today we went to Arundel Castle (Hopefully now the basketball team name makes sense).

It was one of my favorite places I've ever been in England. Very beautiful and interesting.

Have a great week everyone!

Moroni Ch. 7

19 Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.
