Q. What Makes You Happy? A. Legos
This week was fun! We did a whiteboard finding outside the chapel where we put the question "what makes you happy" on the board and people could write an answer. My favorite was this 6 or 7 y/o who wrote Legos. We had surprising success doing it. Some on-the-spot chapel tours were given too. 10/10 would recommend.
We had a devotional with Elder Cook and the Europe Area North Presidency and they had such inspired words. My favorite talk was about how the Adversary is also named the Accuser and wants us to always accuse ourselves for not being enough or not able to reach our potential, filling our minds with doubt. The other warning he gave was controlling our attitude. Elder Cook's testimony was really powerful too.
One of our other friends, Felipe, wants to get baptized but his work schedule is sometimes crazy. He is such a humble guy from Brazil. Our friend Şenol may get baptized this week or next week. He's super excited about the gospel and in a lot of ways knows things better than us.
Today we went hiking at Box Hill and then played beach volleyball.
While studying this week I came across this really cool quote:
"The process of identifying truth sometimes necessitates enormous effort coupled with profound faith in our Father and His glorified Son. God intended that it be so to forge your character. Worthy character will strengthen your capacity to respond obediently to the direction of the Spirit as you make vital decisions. Righteous character is what you are becoming. It is more important than what you own, what you have learned, or what goals you have accomplished. It allows you to be trusted. Righteous character provides the foundation of spiritual strength. It enables you in times of trial and testing to make difficult, extremely important decisions correctly even when they seem overpowering."
Food for thought that's for sure
Have a great week!!!
