Do You Want To Be Christian?
There are a lot of Muslim communities where we like to go, so I start talking to people and find out they are muslim and just ask if they want to be Christian. Most of the time they say no, but it's actually worked twice this week.
Anyways! Hope everyone is doing well. I sure am. We had AP Exchanges in London this week and then the rest of the week was kind of a surprise each day because our plans always fell through, which left us scrambling to come up with more plans that later changed into more new plans. One cool thing that ACTUALLY did happen was we had dinner with 2 people that weren't members of our church. We met a lady outside the train station last week that was interested in learning more "over dinner" so she invited us to her place with her future hubby and we had a nice chat about our beliefs and their beliefs. They said we are welcome back anytime.
But we made it to Sunday eventually which was awesome because I got to go back to Brighton for 2 friends that got baptized! Felipe and Raul are the coolest Brazillians I've ever met and they had such powerful testimonies that they shared after their baptism.
Some members bought us some dope Yo-Yo's with the expectation that we will show people some tricks on the streets. I'm gonna have to start putting in some practice again.
Today we had a District P-day and did Pumpkin carving.
Have a great week!
Food for thought:
“When we pray unto the Father in the name of Jesus for specific personal things, we should feel in the very depths of our souls that we are willing to subject our petitions to the will of our Father in heaven. …
“The time will come when we shall know the will of God before we ask. Then everything for which we pray will be ‘expedient.’ Everything for which we ask will be ‘right.’ That will be when as a result of righteous living, we shall so enjoy the companionship of the spirit that he will dictate what we ask” (in Conference Report, Oct. 1944)
My companion and I's pumpkin is the left one.
